Hiroshi Hamaya (1915-) is the first Japanese photographer who was awarded Hasselblad Awards. He was a member of Magnum. He was consigned to take portrait of Junichiro Tanizaki, a celebrated novelist, at his residence in Kyoto in October 1954. He has designed this photo album made of 24 vintage prints and dedicated this album to Tanizaki with manuscript title in brush and ink as well as with his signature. A unique copy in excellent condition. 36 x 24.5cm, bound in cloth. The measurement of the prints: 12 x 8cm (1 item), 17.5 x 12cm (1 item), 22.5 x 16cm (18 items), 30 x 20cm (4 items).
